HVAC 608 certification question

Is all one needs to do to be able to purchase Freon from a supplier is get a 608 certification?

I've bought online without any issues? No cert required.

Now you're not allowed to use it unless you have the certification.

Yes - but you need the EPA 608 Type II certification to buy the quantity of refrigerant you would need for HVAC. There is Type 1, 11, 111 and universal certifications. .

There’s 4 sections to the test Probably best to go for universal certification
