Something like 200 million people watched the game live on all platforms, with nearly 124 million of that number tuning in on CBS.

I wonder what percentage of that actually turned it on to watch a football game?

It seems like every month or so, a network or ESPN or someone else comes out and says something was the most watched ever. It doesn't make sense. They have to be calculating things differently than how things were done previously.

But the NFL had no motive to rig it they say!

Glad I missed the former and saw the latter on TV in 1969.

There had to be more people watch the Super Bowl than a moon landing in 1969, because you know so many more people on the planet.

The title is misleading.

If my Romans have their numerals right, your title suggests SB 48.

Figured that would have been live broadcast of 911 and the aftermath.

Its crazy how we went from the Kneeling Era of NFL Entertainment to the Taylor Swift era. Do we get an 80s throwback era? Or an Attitude Era?

They're probably using raw numbers in lieu of audience share.

Usually breaking news doesn't count in the rankings.
