Barge golf trip in Europe

I found some travel sites that have canal barges that you stay on and you play golf as you meander down the various canals or rivers.
Part of me wants to go to France because I’ve been studying French for 3 years and I think the food will be better than Ireland/Scotland. Plus they mix in some sightseeing and I would like to see some of the country/culture in addition to playing golf.
Have any of you been on one of these type trips?
Any advice?

Have never been, but I encountered some of these canal barges on a trip to France. Looked pretty cool actually. The ones I saw had bikes so it is an easy on and off to explore villages, etc.

Do yourself a favor and not mix those 2 trips
Went to Ryder Cup in Paris followed by river cruise on the Seine that had daily excursions at different stops. Did Normandy, Giverny, Rouen, etc
Played d’Etretat that they called their Pebble Beach on one excursion. Don’t waste ur time with golf in France is the nicest thing I can say. Beautiful sights, but the course wasn’t small town public conditions, and was rated as a top course
Scotland and Ireland are golf destinations.

There were a few Caledonia Canal trips listed in Scotland.
I also saw one in Ireland and one in England.
Another option I found was sort of an off the beaten path island golf tour in Scotland. This one you drive around catching ferries to various islands. It sounded secluded, scenic and fun, but I’m not sure I want to drive while I’m there.
