Have stayed there a few times and it's a great location. Easy walks to Central Park, Times Square, Fifth Ave/Rockefellar Center/St. Patricks Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and and some world-class museums.

There is also a Hilton Conrad between 6th and 7th on 54th St. Right next to the above mentioned Hilton. Its worth a stay as well. Several cool little bars just outside the door of the hotel.

I read on Fox that the median hotel price in NYC is $350 a night. Absolutely insane.

This is the correct answer, I’ve stayed here many times. Very centrally located and a couple blocks from 3 different Subway lines.

I've recently stayed in Hilton Midtown and Conrad Downtown. Conrad downtown is the best property in terms of quality, perfect for businesses travel imo. But the Hilton Midtown has the best location for first time visitor, close to most iconic places in NYC.
