Gonna be honest here, I never knew there were hog hunting contests.
The article doesn’t give much info other than the names of those arrested.

Cheating should be allowed for killing feral hogs.

Me either. It sounded like a trapping contest?
I wonder how those rules are set up?

I did read that they caught all their pigs in TX, not LA, prior to the contest

Contest fraud
Sounds like they transported live pigs from Texas. If so, I hope they stick it to them. Pigs caught in a trap or by a dog need to die immediately Cutting the nuts off a pig and sending him back out in the wild should be illegal

The hog dog guys are probably more responsible for their spread than anybody else. They move them around more than anybody else "to preserve the sport"

Transporting is perfectly legal with a permit and its already been determine they DID have the proper permit so that was dropped. Also determined they didn't catch the hogs early. They caught them all in the days allowed. Thats been dropped. Only thing left is it was a Louisiana contest and they hogs were caught on other side of Sabine making it Texas legally. The year before Texas hogs were allowed. Rule change seems to be overlooked
