No, not the classic 80s movie. I’m talking about the new series from Apple TV headlined by Lisa Kudrow!
Scrolling through Apple TV last night and saw this previewed and figured this would be a hit on this board

That's a bummer.. I loved the dwarf dressed lime napoleon. Cracked me up. It was a twisted movie.

Taika Waititi has struggled on his last few movies, but his shows have been great. Jemaine Clement is also producing and wrote some episodes as well. This could be really good. I’m going to give it a shot even though I hate that they are fricking with one of my all time favorite movies.

Our Flag Means Death was trash. There’s a reason it only lasted 2 seasons. I think I made it through 3-4 episodes and gave up. It wasn’t that funny.

I haven't looked it up yet, but I'm curious if it's a remake or just a completely different show that ended up with the same name.
Update:
It is based on the movie, but all the characters have different names (except for "Supreme Being").
Even the Wiki is short on info.
I will say that just reading behind the lines leaves me with ZERO confidence in this being even remotely good.
Especially this:
I dunno who told this man he was some kind of amazing actor, but he needs to stop self-inserting himself into his projects.

I’mGlad they just continue to shite on past classics.. at the very least they could’ve used dwarf actors.. it was a major component to their personalities.. their race and gender are benign to the humor..
