Who cares about putting up a disgraceful performance on an international stage! Soccer isn’t what’s important, right?

Way too much soy in those crowd shots.

Should the USA shut down its soccer program
Let’s face it, they will never own the sports scene in America and will never be able to compete for a World Cup

Grant Wahl would agree but he dead

They really bent over and took it

Coming out in rainbow jerseys and getting blown out 5-1 set the tone for the whole tournament

That wasn’t part of the tournament and the jerseys had nothing to do with our performance. Let’s not get silly here. It may look a little dumb but it was nothing more than the semi-obligatory half hearted gesture of support.

How do you know? They played pretty fricking gay

Exactly. As another person said, they took it up the arse and you would have thought this whole team was a bunch of trans men with how they played.

Red, white, blue. That's the only colors that should be on the uniform. Anything else is political.

Really sucks that Wahl is dead because he would rip into the team and Berhalter after this. Then he fricking says he's the right coach....sure
I know this job isn't easy but damn this was bad

I noticed that too. The same non-binary thing in the blue tank top, over and over again. Or, we could watch the Colombia crowd in Houston, and get a decidedly different mix of shots. shite, if it wasn't Argentina on July 4th (and the tix 3x the ones in Austin) I'd go just to mingle. But we wonder why US Soccer sucks.

This. Now it’s just funny to watch them lose.

I don't mean to overstate it too much, but it's probably genuinely impacting adoption of soccer and improvement of domestic players in this country.
When the core of MLS support have heavy crossover with BLM/Antifa rallies instead of suburban kids who actually play the game (or their parents), it strikes me as a lost opportunity. There are cultural strings that come with pursuing higher level soccer in the United States, and that just doesn't exist with baseball or football. It's obviously a burden for a large country that is late to widespread adoption of soccer.
