One thing that really pissed me off yesterday

And it happened at least 15 times
Players waiting for a pass to reach them, while the uruguyan defenders made a beeline for the ball and stole it
Go to the fn ball!
One time, i think it was Musah, almost looped around the ball to receive it at a better angle and got it taken away

Agreed, Wes and Balo were the biggest culprits.
The other thing that was annoying, but it's been a staple under this regime so it wasn't surprising, is taking too long to develop in the final third. Instead of trying to take guys on, we were constantly just kicking it around looking for the perfect opening that was just never going to come with how deep Uruguay was sitting after they scored. We ignored any potential half chances, holding out for a perfect chance which would always leads to an errant pass or a bad touch and Uruguay running the other way.
But again, that's long been our problem.

Well for the first 15 mins we didn’t. And we won every ball and pressed the game. Then we just….gregged

Yep I noticed that a lot yesterday in the last 60minutes especially. More than it seemed previously. Almost seemed a lack of communication between players on the pitch. First 15 minutes was also so fast paced did we burn out some, plus letting ref issues and injury stoppages get us out of play

It was an almost nothing moment in the game but it summed up the lack of urgency. Late in the game we won a throw in deep in the attacking third. Jedi had at least 3 guys posted up ready to fight for a throw in the 18 yet he throws it 30 yards backwards to Ream who is pressed and has to play it all the way back to Turner who of course then kicks it out of bounds. I launched a couch pillow across the room after that

This was the other thing that was maddening, we recycled the ball way too much through Turner even when he wasn't needed as a pressure release. In fact, it was a press trigger for Uruguay.
Like, he's not 100% on top of already being mediocre at best with the ball at his feet and we just didn't care.

The regime is all about possession, to have possession.
Never mind the fact that you have to put the ball in the damn net.
At least the nationals teams in the 2000s had a strategy, bunker down and counter.
These clowns just want to get their passing and Xg to a good number
