Ohio mom dies in frantic effort to save 6-year-old son from carjacker

Fox News: Alexa Stakely suffered fatal head injury after thieves struck her with her own car
I saw this earlier this morning and it filled me with dread first; later anger. Living in BR I learned a long time ago that you can't ever, EVER leave your car running or unlocked anywhere. Even just running back in for something. And women are an even greater target.
These pieces of shite must be located and should be strung up in the middle of town.
Single mother. 29 years old. Worked 2 jobs. This happened in Canal Winchester, OH which is about 20 mins south of Columbus.
Keep your head on a swivel and never trust anyone.
(BTW I know this is an immediate Monday bummer but please mention this story to your wives/girlfriends/moms/etc.)

Yeah man, I understand. And at first I was like "I ain't got time for bad news" but then I realized this lady's story deserves to be told. Article has dash cam of a trucker showing the perp take out a car seat with the kid and put it on the sidewalk. Thankfully there were some good people around to immediately come to the child's aid.

Yeah that annoyed me that the video attached to the article wasn't even related.
Good for her for trying everything she can to stop them and save her child. And I'm glad they abandoned the car a block away and left the kid unharmed. Absolute tragedy that she died and I feel awful for the 6 year old who, in a matter of seconds, went through a whirlwind of events and emotions and when everything calmed down his mother was gone.
