The Long Game

Based on the book called Mustang Miracle. I loved this book. It was given to me by a family friend and I’ve been excited for the movie to finally come out. I was not very impressed with the movies portrayal of this story.
My family is from Del Rio, Texas where the story takes place. I watched it tonight and it was so over the top filled with racism. Yes the book touches on it, but the movie goes way over the top. There were several scenes in the movie that did not happen and were only included for Hollywood.
Yes I know they had to add the stuff to get more hits, but it was such a cool story in itself without that racism fluff.
I grew up spending plenty of summers and most hunting seasons since I could walk in Del Rio, and there are more Mexicans than whites and for sure no where near as much racism as this movie portrays. Just my $0.02.
