Long story short: Was in Idaho for scout camp last week and got a bunch of pine pitch on one pair of my uniform pants. Been through the was a couple of times on hot, but it's still there. What's the trick for getting it out? (we don't have lots of pine trees here....)

Thanks in advance.

Varsol works pretty good on hard surfaces, not sure if it would be more damaging to cloth. If clothing is safe to be dry cleaned, you may want to try it…

Isopropyl alcohol gets it off my hands, should work on clothes too.

Acetone or alcohol should do it.

Gas will probably get it out for that matter.

I had organic chemistry in school, I should have known all these. I'll start with 91% isopropyl alcohol and go from there. If that doesn't work, I'll hit it with brake cleaner...

Thanks Fellas!

WD40 or any similar light oil is good for getting it off skin, but not sure about clothes.

Thought you were bailing on the scouts at a ceremony soon?
Just wear your official Jorts to the ceremony.

We've got a few activates (mainly a court of honor) over the next few weeks. We're moving troops after that. We visited the new troop last night. At least 4 adult leader and 6 scouts are moving.
