If Kamala gets installed now as POTUS, won't she only have 4 years of POTUS eligibility left? Or am I off in left field on this?

Not a chance. He’s going to claim he was a martyr to sharply focus on our country instead of running a campaign. He realizes that he is of old age and wants to see a youthful president to further unite the country and continue their record setting presidency.

No. If the Vice takes over with less than half the term to go (2 years) then they can serve two more full terms. LBJ could have but he sucked.

No way his (and Jill's) egos allow him to step down now.
They want the farewell tour and all the press and attention coming his way the next few months, and they still have some ruining of America to do. He has less pressure on him now than he's ever had, he can basically do whatever Dem/progressive project he wants and get away with it because he has one foot out the door

Because it elevates her to President which strengthens her. That's not something they would do if they are setting her up to lose.

She can serve 2 full terms.
The only exception is if a president resigns or dies in the 1st 2 years of a term. For instance if Biden were to have resigned in 2021 or 2022, she could only serve 1 more full term.
