Thoughts on JD's Weekend Interviews with ABC and CNN. He needs to change his responses

First, JD is excellent at the way he answers all questions. The reporters barely laid a glove on him. The problem I'm seeing is they're doing a rope-a-dope burning up interview time focusing on abortion and name calling. In the ABC interview near the end, the reporter basically shut the interview down when Vance started pressing the major issues of the nation and the world and Kamala's absence from interviews.
When Vance sits down for these interviews, he needs to press these jackals early in interviews and steer them to the issues that need to be discussed. If he needs to be a dick so be it.
Below are the 2 interviews I'm talking about:

Yes and no. Yes he needs to drive the conversation to the issues and contrast Trump with Kamala, but he doesn't need to be a dick about it. A skilled debater can make any answer about the topic they need it to be about.
I think he did a fabulous job doing this when using Walz's lying about his service record to demonstrate just how bad Kamala's judgement is. She's made one decision since becoming the nominee and Vance is making the case that it was a TERRIBLE one.

Why do Republicans go on these shows?
They are not going to win.
Will Harris/Walz go on a conservative show?
No, and it wont hurt them one bit.

The reporters are the ones with the cards in their hands. They will do their damnedest to see that the interviewee stays on track and if he doesn't then you just have a lot of bickering back and forth. The interviewer can then say the other one would not answer the questions.
The thing to do for the guest is to come up with the best answer possible but also getting in their little jabs here and there but staying on the subject so the reporter can't accuse him of not answering the question.

He comes across as weird.

He did what he needed to do. Both interviewers were hostile, but he kept bringing them back around to the issues never got flustered.
I thought it was great when he thanked them for asking tough questions bc a presidential candidate should have to answer tough questions from the American people. Kind of a multi-layered message that hit hard.

Are you serious?
Boils down to Trump being engaged. That trickles down.
Watch this.

He comes across as highly intelligent and articulate. The dems do not have anyone to match that.

They can easily get the sounds bytes through short edits. They did it a million times with Trump.
For example, JD destroys Bash when asked why his opinion changed on Trump. He just got finished calling Kamala a flip flopper and she thought she had him dead to rights after she threw out the "you flip flopped" on your opinion of Trump. Stop the video right there and they can convince the NPC it was a great "gotcha" moment. In reality, his answer to her snide remark was masterclass.

I thought Vance did a good job in his interviews. He called out the reporters when needed and he moved the topics to his topics.
Now, what needs to be added is that a candidate is 100% disqualified if they do not make themselves available to the media and the people. If they are afraid to speak to the media and the people now, they will not speak to them and be accountable to anyone if elected.

JDV is a horrible VP pick. He has the personality of a limp noodle. Haley should have been the pick with her experience and no-nonsense attitude and would have added some diversity into the mix to counter Kamala.
