That works in the context of a Deadpool movie but a full on actual gambit movie with Channing Tatum is a recipe for one of the biggest bombs of all time

They just need to forget the accent. Period. Even a real Cajun acting it would sound hokey on the big screen

I think they have to just go VERY light on the accent. Barely there but still a bit there, if that makes sense.

You guys really want the main Marvel Gambit turned into a Deadpool joke? The dude is 45 years old. His appearance was funny and I’d actually not mind another Deadpool movie with all of them returning. But not his own movie and not being the main Gambit.

Tatum is from Mississippi and has people in New Orleans. He said he was around the accent a lot growing up. He also said that RR told him to lay it on so thick that he (RR) wouldn't understand the lines.

X23 also said he had to say his lines in regular English for her takes. When he did the accent she couldn’t keep a straight face for her filming.
