Abortion from an INDEPENDENT woman’s perspective

In response to the Republican woman thread on abortion let me say this:
In today’s world there are over 20 types of birth control- including the morning after pill.
There is little excuse for unwanted or unplanned pregnancies. Abortion should not be an acceptable form of birth control - if for no other reason it does in fact cause long-term damage to a woman’s body.
Yes, there should be exceptions for cases of incest, rape, and life of the mother- rare.
In alleged cases of rape and incest there should be criminal investigations and indictments if warranted.
Furthermore, any female found to have falsely accused a male of rape or incest should get double the maximum sentence the falsely accused was facing.
Any woman having an abortion after falsely accusing a man of rape should be criminally charged for that crime as well- though I am not certain what type of murder charge it should be. Why? Men who kill babies in the womb are often charged with murder. Kill the mother also and it’s double homicide.
And as a woman, women do not get pregnant alone. The father should in fact have a say so in the future life of the child - except in cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother. Why? If for no other reason, the man has to financially support that child for at least 18 years…

And it is a slippery slope. I just read a story the other day about a black police officer who lost everything because he was falsely accused. Fortunately, he had a camera.

Maybe, but if you're claiming rape then there at least needs to be an investigation into the matter.

Thank you. I the mother of a daughter and two sons. I am able to unemotionally see the validity of both sides of the issue.

All my kids are daughters. Explaining the pro-life message to them is so easy because it's truthful. I can't imagine how pro-death people are able to lie to their kids about abortion with a clean conscience.

You need to start an organization or campaign with these principles. I think if the message comes from women regarding this topic, it has greater merit.
