O-line for me. Run blocking was putrid.

Actually bad things were players fault by not executing and making stupid mistakes. Play calling after going ahead 17-13 was coaching fault.

Totally overrated and I bought the hype. I feel stupid. Our olinemen and ol coaches all suck really bad.

Run blocking by far, none of the rest of these things would've been a problem had they had a legitimate run game.

I don't like blaming "coaching," it's far too vague. Your average fan thinks a win is always good coaching and a loss is always bad coaching. That said, I hated the decision to go for it on the first drive.

Just to say something different that was overlooked but is gonna almost definitely be a problem all year long, both of our punters are cheeks. We’re gonna have some very untimely 20-yard shanks and some low line drives that get housed. They could lose us a game.

That Phil Steele guy had LSU with 6th best OL. They didn’t play like it

They were punting from near midfield every time, they weren't trying to hit 50 yard bombs.

Really only the last kick could be considered "bad."

O-line

Since that's been taken, lack of improvement in the defensive backfield.

Our punter seems like he might have been a last second add from the crowd.

Probably averaged 35 yards a punt

I have to agree. I felt really good about the OL going into that game.

The run blocking was pretty bad. Hopefully they can get it fixed.

The fans that showed up in record numbers? What's so disappointing about that?

Did I say the ones at the game? I'm talking about the response on here after we lost.

No you didn't specify which is why I asked the question.

People are upset with the loss. It happens with any fanbase.

I still don't understand this take, LSU's average punting position was their own 40 yard line.

2 of the 4 punts landed inside the USC's 20 and a third was on their 23.

Peyton Todd's last punt was the worst of the night and really the only bad one, 35 yards to the USC 36.

Yeah, I felt our punting was pretty good too.

So we averaged less than 40 yards gross on those. What was the net? And we were kicking to the best punt returner in the nation, punting from our own 40, he shouldn’t have been able to return a single one. Should have punted them out of bounds or made him fair catch them all.

It was also the most important punt of the night, and it was a short line drive that we were extremely lucky that Branch didn’t make a guy miss and take it to the house. I just don’t see us being able to flip the field consistently, and we’re gonna need to. Hopefully they figure it out and one of them takes control of the position. But 35 yard line drives in a close game to a dynamic returner? Those are eventually gonna get housed.

Of the 4 punts, 3 were fair caught and 1 was returned for no gain.

Based on 1 average to bad punt out of 4? It was their first game.
