Just heard this statement on CNN and MSNBC...

"Golf courses have long been a source of concern for secret service officials".

I don't know what their end game is, but the spin appears to be, golf courses are hard to defend.

They definitely can’t contain my tee shot.

I see their point but that's not true if you have enough SS agents and use the technology we have.

A few good drones could have probably caught this guy earlier.

We should not have to be worried about defending a golf course.....

What we should be doing is putting people under the jail, or capital punishment used more often!

The Democratic Party has created a chaotic environment and will blame the Right!

There are things about my job that aren’t easy. But that’s the thing, it’s my job. Figure it out.

Not true, the MSM wants you to believe this. Trump golfed 22% of the days he was in office without a shot fired. Case closed libtards

Too many slopes on a golf course. Very dangerous for the SS.

I don’t think you understand the problem.

That particular golf course is on a 218 acre plot.

You have about 9200 feet of road frontage

There’s a mile of canal bordering it on the north (I’m not guessing on these numbers btw)

There’s a secluded parking lot behind the Palm Beach County Justice Department building that borders the course.

You’re limited on drone use because of the nearby airport.

You’d need to shut down 3 streets, post a minimum of 100 agents at various locations. That’s assuming none of the nearby buildings have LOS.

That’s on top of the normal SS team.

Maybe, depends on how long he was actually parked and deployed. Where he was he could park and be in position in a matter of minutes with the street not shut down.

Local Sheriff said that they didn't secure the whole golf course perimeter because Trump is not the sitting president. ??? What about the alleged Iranian threat which triggered more protection for Trump???

“Well, you got to understand, the golf course is surrounded by shrubbery, so when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they’re pretty much out of sight, all right,” Bradshaw said when asked how the shooter got so close to Trump. “And at this level that he is at right now, he’s not the sitting president. If he was, we would have [the area around the] golf course surrounded. But because he’s not, security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible. So I would imagine that the next time he comes at a golf course, there’ll probably be a little bit more people around the perimeter. But the Secret Service did exactly what they should have done. They provided exactly what the protection should have been, and their agent did a fantastic job.”

It probably will come out the PERP was running drone surveillance before the assassination. attempt.
