Feels good to be hunting again!

I’m not a turkey hunter, so I’ve been impatiently waiting to hunt something since February 16th. Had a little miscommunication with my buddy about hunting his family property on opening weekend for doves, then the hurricane happened, so I haven’t had a chance to do any hunting until today. So far I’ve got about 6-7, and missed quite a few(I’m rusty), but man it feels good to be hunting again! Can’t wait to be back in a tree come October 1st!

I haven’t been in a couple months. Shot a few pigs this summer but that’s it.
Leave Wednesday to head down to my ranch to set a blind, cams and feeders on some new property I bought. Hope to shoot some birds in the morning while I’m down and sit in the afternoon to video some bucks and shoot a hog or two.
Damn I already forgot about gator hunting the end of August.

Seeing the IST threads has me excited. One of these years I'll pick up a bow to be able to get out there earlier, but I don't even like going to the range when temps are still in the 80s.

Nothing wrong with that! Post pics of the bucks! I wish I was getting pictures, had 1 little velvet 8 a few weeks back, but no shooters showed up yet.

I’ve got a few nice once’s but nothing crazy. Probably end up chasing Nilgai or Axis instead.

Bought a .22 rifle so I can teach my son to shoot. Haven't squirrel hunted in over 20 years but saw that the season opened the last week in August in Tennessee. We're going this weekend.
