Metrolink in ST Louis

Hey yall, Anybody take the train in St louis from the airport to downtown?- My hotel is right near a stop.

Yeah, it's nice. It does get a pretty ghetto the closer you get to the downtown stops, but our rides were uneventful.

I've heard of people riding it and not having issues. I've lived here for more than a decade and have never ridden it.
A lot of people use it for Cardinals games. The issue with the route from downtown to the airport is that it passes through many of parts of the region wouldn't want to stop in.
Poor leadership in the city and county (2 separate entities) and no overall regional leadership have left the metro with limited security at times because the various jurisdictions spend more time pointing fingers over who should cover than actually covering it.

If the suns out, its perfectly safe. And to be honest, the train itself is safe, the stations are where crime is reported, so unless you were to get off you should have absolutely no problem.
For me its time. Its probably a 40 minutes train for $2.50 vs a 16 min uber for $20
