I've been hearing about this collaboration, but I was expecting a straight cover. This is very clever and straight up badass. BC still going strong 30 years later, and Gilmour never stops shredding!

Oh come on. The one thing Gilmour does not do is "shred". He creates moods and paints pictures, he sings with his guitar. When you hear the phrase "do more with less", he's the guy who comes to mind.

Alright, I've listened to this a few times since I posted it and I've come to the conclusion that the whole thing works really well. Ice does his usual earnest "the world's fricked up, we should come together" spiel, the band lays down a nice metal backdrop, and Gilmour just absolutely rips it for six minutes straight.
