No one talking about this series? Finished with Ep 1 and very good.
There’s going to be a major twist. Gore fits well with Halloween around the corner.

Definitely loses steam in season 2
And these breaks between seasons are so brutal

We have season threads every season. It airs on Showtime btw. S1 S2 The S2 thread lost steam IIRC.
Great to know, I did a search and nothing came up with a thread.
Thanks!

The dual timelines suffer big time in season 2. The past is far more interesting than the present. Ricci is great though.

It’s been so long since the last season came out I’ve lost interest. I couldn’t tell you what the frick is going on right now

Yeah I’m much more interested in the factions of the girls in the wilderness and what all happens there . And there’s a lot of time left to explore if I recall between the seasons end and the inevitable rescue
Looking at almost 2 years between season 2 and 3… if it premieres in the spring of 2025

I could not get into this show. Tried.

They should just dump the present day stuff.

did they just quit filming?

hated the present day part.
ETA: There's a show called The Wylds that is basically the same thing. Has one with males and one with females.

I'm starting to think that these female centric shows just go off the rails quick. There have been some good ones that just didn't have staying power

Not sure the episode but somewhere in S2 I did this:

It did, and although the creators said they had a full multi-season arc planned before S1, it felt like maybe the creators had planned for 2 (or 3) seasons and then after it became a hit in S1, Showtime asked to stretch it beyond 2 (or 3) seasons and so they had to add a lot of filler that made the plot meander?
I also find it hard to believe that there'd be such a long delay between seasons 2 and 3 if the creators had already planned how the story would unfold.

no one is talking about it now, but did when it first came out 3 years ago...

Season 1 is about as close to perfect as you can get, and Season 2 drops off but is still very good television.
I find cults fascinating, big into symbology, and love a good unreliable narrator story, so this has it all for me. The writers have done a great job creating a world where you can truly believe it is supernatural forces or that it is just their hallucinations from malnutrion, lead poisoning, trauma, etc.
Season 3 needs to focus more on past, which is what Season 1 did, because quit frankly it is way more interesting at this point in the story arch. Once what happened in the wilderness is fully fleshed out I will be more invested in current day.
r/Yellowjackets is actually really fun to read during the season with all the theories, just have to wade through like half the threads trying to argue why some character is actually a lesbian.

I just watched for the first time on Netflix as well but I knew it was old. I did think it was just one season though so that caught me by surprise. No way did I see them dragging this out. So I go to find out when Season 2 comes out and find out it too has come and gone. Was kinda excited about that because I have Showtime so I thought it would be easy to watch. Oh no. Now they want you to get Paramount+. I was able to watch a few episodes on demand with cable but not all. So I had to get creative with the rest. So now I’m caught up. Yes there’s still another season. Team Jackie here.

S2 nosedives. The adult characters suck though Ricci is fun. They kinda backed themselves into a corner in S2 where personally I wanted all of the remaining survivors to die.
