I mean, Mitt Romney’s campaign tanked after the “binders full of women” comment. It’s so frustrating to the MSM that their usual tactics won’t work on Trump. They can only screech and ask why.
I don’t like everything Trump does and says, but I don’t know of another candidate in history that could survive the smear attempts and outright lies that have been told about him. He’s taught the Republican Party how to win again.

I had a moment back when he was getting flack for the”eating cats and dogs” comment and JD Vance went on CNN and said he knew it wasn’t true but it did draw attention to an important issue, and the media flipped out about that; and meanwhile Trump posted “I hate Taylor Swift!” and I realized that’s his political genius. All these other guys, be they Vance or DeSantis, or Cruz , or whomever are constantly trying to explain themselves because they still want the media and the their friends in DC to think of them as smart serious guys, and once there is blood in the water - it’s over. The media is not your friend and they will rip you to shreds. But Trump doesn’t care what the media thinks, or what anyone in DC thinks, or his former friends in NYC. He says what he feels in the moment and when the heat gets hot from that he changes the subject and is off to the next thing. He’s invulnerable
