Fencing Supplies

I want to get a quote on supplies for a DIY Fence, but would like to find someone other than the big box for lumber in Lafayette area.
It is a 8' tall 60 foot straight run from neighbors fence. In my dream world, I would like to attach a gate across driveway then connect to house. But I can live without that
Any suggestions on a mill or supplier? Is Doug Ashy that much better than big box?

Not sure what's in Lafayette. But, we used Picou in AP and had the stuff delivered to the house. Still had a few warped boards but, for the most part it was much better than what you see in the big box stores.

It's local, so if that's important to you then it is better. Stines is also localish. I am not sure if the price will be better, though, the only way to find out is to get prices. Quality will likely be about the same.

There’s almost always a ‘local’ builder supplier. Most people don’t know but deliver is usually still free or cheap with large loads, including from some of the big box stores. I haven’t ordered anything in a year or so, but my local hardware/ lumber store had free deliver for anything over $100. They are quick too, usually no later than next day. I always laugh at these guys overloading their 1/2 tons with lumber and supplies squatting the truck which is dangerous as hell as a business to do. When they likely had a free or cheap deliver option
