It has literally been decades since I have had any issues until this week. The Doctor I used to see is no longer practicing. If I need to see a Doctor does the H&F board have any recommendations for Doc's in Southeast LA. Preferably the North Shore.

Mine is flaring too. Spent the night on a hotel bed Monday night that felt like a concrete block which seems to have triggered it.

I had a severe case about two months ago and you can really help your cause with lower back stretching. It’s all over YouTube, but this was after I ruled out hip issues and spinal cord issues, I realized it was muscle related.

Thank you but I am aware and you are right it does help. I have been down this road. I just was wondering if anyone can recommend a Doc just in case I feel the need to see one.

Have you tried massage and chiropractic?

I haven't tried massage but i do see a chiropractor. I mainly would like Doc recommendations if worse comes to worse.

As of this morning just about back to normal.

I get flare ups 1-2x a year, I have been using River Parish PT with a lot of success. Usually 2-3 visits and I am back to 100%.

Sometimes weather changing (raining or cold) can trigger mine.
I use ice packs to reduce the inflammation from the bulging disc that is causing the sciatica. Also back exercises/stretches can really help.
