I saw the bass pro sale add has the "Blackout Faze" going on sale for $199. It's a ready to hunt and highly adjustable bow. My son is wanting a bow for christmas but I don't want to take an expensive dive until he shows interest and sticks with it. Does anyone have any experience with these bows? I can't find much information online.

Thanks for posting this. I'm going check it out. Local outdoors shop has the PSE kids bows that go up to 40lbs draw that I was looking at for my kid.

Pretty sure that’s a bow made by bear for BP.
My daughter has a bear apprentice 2 that looks like the same rig. They are awesome little set ups and are perfect for someone starting out and they will not be the limiting factor in his success.
My first bow kill was with a bear black bear in 198.
The difference between the two bows is about like comparing a ford escort to a Ferrari.

My son is 15 but on the smaller side. He's got long arms and legs just a slim little fella. His draw length is measuring 24.5 but I want something that he will be able to use for a long time if he does get into it.

I have one. It’s a very good bow at that price range. I’d recommend it as a starter package.

I bought one for my daughter. Poundage and DL almost infinitely adjustable within normal range. Easy to set up and shoot. Great starter bow. Would recommend for that purpose.

Typically the BPS/Cabelas bows are made by another company and just sold a little cheaper, so the quality is solid. Diamond and Bear used to make most of their house brand bows.
