Trailer looks like Daniel will go to New York (after JC meets him in California) so probably will get little if any of the Cobra Kai crew. It’s supposed to take place three years after the conclusion of that series.
I wonder if any of the S6 plots about Miyagi’s secrets will be paid off here, or if they’ll be closed by the series?

I like it, don't get me wrong. There is a huge BUT here. I love all the Karate Kid universe stuff, but to me Karate Kid is a average kids learning Karate, using Karate. Not looking like ariel masters and doing shite the kid is doing in the trailer. It's average kids looking like average kids using Karate. Does that make sense?

I understand where you're coming from... you're looking for kids that look like they started taking martial arts as teenagers and have only been at it for a year or two, as opposed to someone who has been learning it their entire life and looks like a Shaolin monk.

Well by the looks of it, this is just a make believe Yangtze river Kung-Fu movie.
Why would Crouching Tiger come looking for an All-Valley Karate man in San Fernando Valley? To wash Jackie Chan's cars? Paint his fence? .Sand his floors?
The fact that it's Jackie Chan who starred in that AWFUL Will Smith remake.....
This looks like a movie a kid would watch on a lazy afternoon at home after your bowl of cereal and Saturday morning cartoons....and you'd switch channels constantly trying to find something better.
