Such awesome snakes - not quite as pretty as Eastern indigos, but they have that same uniquely awesome look.
I was leaving south central Texas to head west on my Sept. snake trip when I flew past something hanging partially onto the road and instantly knew “indigo”. Whipped a quick u-turn and almost cried when I realized it was freshly hit.
