Thats pretty good... Love seeing Portnoy doing all these. They really need to get Danny in there.

I knew before even watching it he was going to overplay everything.

Well, yeah, it's Portnoy playing over a pop song. The first bit he's just throwing everything and the kitchen sink in. The second take was pretty subdued for Mike.

I love these Drumeo videos. But the schtick where the artists pretend they've never heard these hugely popular songs is absurd. Bro, just flex on the song.

Very douchey; very staged.

"XXX hears Led Zeppelin/Nirvana for the first time" were the two biggest ones for me. Like come on man

I don't doubt at all that Mike Portnoy has never listened to that song. Dude eats, sleeps, and breathes prog. Why would he know her?

The same goes for when people were shocked by Dirk Ver Beuren 1: not knowing The Killers and 2: destroying it on the first take. He's a European drum hero, why would he know the Killers? Now go ask the Killers drummer to play Deconstruction by Devin Townsend and you'll understand why Mr. Brightside isn't much more than a warmup.
