LSU RB depth..

Tigers have some serious talent at RB!
Durham .. had several incredible plays as a freshman. I can only believe he continues to get better. RB skills are off the chart.
Berry .. yet to play at the SEC level, but film reminds me of Jamyr Gibbs!
Kaleb Jackson .. was the talk of camp, but for whatever reason he never really materialized. Still, if the light comes on, watch out! He still could be everything I thought he was going to be!
Ju’Juan Johnson .. super talented athlete as we’ve seen at the HS level.
Yet to settle in but may grow into a top tier RB.
JT Lindsey .. talented but unproven at the SEC level. Has real potential.
Jmo, but this is a real special group!

What about you know who?

Does not matter if you can’t run block. That will need to improve drastically

This room is talented, but actually concerns me.
Who's #2 behind Durham?
Berry? He's a 5 star but will be a tFr. and will probaby weigh around 180-185
Kaleb? He really took a step back this season... maybe he got too heavy but he's not reliable right now
J. Johnson? Super talented, but can he pass block and run between the tackles?
Lindsey? Probably the most physically ready based on his build, but will be a tFr.
Holly? He's probably finished here and his scholarship REALLY needs to go towards getting another RB in the Spring portal.

Legit concerns 304.
Berry is 190 lbs.
Still believe Jackson will show up!
Durham at full strength… beast!

If Durham gets injured we could be in a bind. Has there been any word on Emery?

running back is one of the few positions that a talented freshman or sophomore can be expected make an instant impact. Jackson has not been stuck behind NFL running backs and has yet to do anything. I think after year two, expectations should be pretty low for this guy.

Play calling would help. Throwing to him in the flats and using extended handoffs like the Saints have done with Kamara would help mitigate his vision problems and get the ball in his hands when hes already running to help his acceleration. But he needs to catch the ball

He either needs to get better at finding holes or maybe improved play by the interior OL can rip holes right where he wants them.
And if Holly can avoid jail time, which seems likely given the reduction in charges, he's going to be breaking off one 50 yard run after another for somebody. I hope it's LSU. He has a freakish ability to slide off contact at near full speed.

This "can" be a special group over time. If Durham goes down early we have a problem.
Remember no Josh Williams. We take a veteran RB in the Spring portal.

I agree. Spring is going to be huge for Jackson; pretty much make or break time for him.
Regardless, I agree with others that LSU needs to find an experienced running back in the next transfer portal. There will be some available. There may not be a first rounder out there, but there will be someone who can pass block and pick up some tough yardage between the tackles. LSU's job is to find him.

He's not special enough to take those touches away from Durham and (I'm betting) Berry. I'd rather those guys in space with the ball.

Compared to our recent RB rooms, this one is way more talented. I still think we need to replace Josh W to ensure good short-term run situations.

What’s the situation on Holly ? Like there is has been little added to his case other than reduction of charges . I’ve seen his locker still up at the football facility and his name is still on the roster but the case seem like it should’ve been done at least by now .

So why haven’t they dismissed him from the team yet ?
