I thought the title said,

Best thermal underwear $1000

I'm glad it didn't.

Not sure there is one for less than $1000 but if there is it would be close to the technology that they used when they made the 1st Predator movie.

Mean it would just be a blob of heat.

So what's the best bang for the buck then? Spent last week at a ranch/lodge that had all high end Termals, NV, NOGs, Cans on everything, you name it. Hell, the tripod under the gun was $1800 lol. I got the inch for a set up to shoot predators on our place in South TX. What would I be looking at for a nice set up, what would the ob recommend? Can it be done for 5k? Hope I'm not hi-jacking your thread, if so I can start a new one. TIA

I just bought an AGM Rattler V2 TS25-256 3.5-28x
I got it for shooting hogs under a feeder at less than 100 yards. I think it will do the job fine but I wouldn't use it for scanning fields or anything.

Idiots. You don’t need to spend that kind of coin on a tripod and ball head….and I have a RRS anvil 30 which is expensive.

Rix leap 3 or 6 is decent

Pulsar just dropped their 60mm so their 50s are cheaper.

Iray has a great lineup.

Good time to buy

Too each thier own, the tip from one Whitetail harvested that week was more than the tripod so I doubt they are worried about pinching pennies. I will look into your suggestions, thanks.

I would list your criteria out and be very honest with it.

Will you be hunting 2-3 times a week? Once a week, once a month?

How far will you be shooting?

I’m hunting maybe 2-3times a month. Normally go to my place on a Friday after work and hunt for a few hours. I got my 1st coyote last weekend (missed a few). It was a 170yd shot which I’d rather have been closer but it wasn’t happening.

Mine is an Iray Bolt tl-35. For how I use it it’s good. Very clear.

Sea Pickle is a pro he suggest the Pulsar and I’d love to have it but I’m happy with the Iray.
I did help a friend of my sons to site in an AGM (don’t know which but he’s a college freshman so not high end).

Had a hard time making stuff out with it.

This is mine:

Mine would be very similar to yours, a couple times a month to get away to the place during the offseason. Probably shooting out to couple hundred yards, although longer shots would be avaliable. I'm looking at getting a suppressed 6.5 or 308 built for delivering the lead.

Mine is on an AR in .223/5.56. Using 75gr match bullets I can hit a quarter at 100yds.
Fast follow ups if needed.
And yes with being silenced. Many times you’re looking and you have a second to get off a shot. No silencer and your ears are ringing the rest of the night.

DNT

Per your question, this would work. It has NV and thermal. Don’t have one but reviews have been good.

Good luck!

Hard pass.

The images they have on their website even look like shite so I can't imagine how bad it actually is. This is laughably bad.
