LIV Schedule going directly against PGA events for 2025, but maybe we’ll see Rahm, Dechambeau, & others playing some PGA events next year

Well LIV went to long pants so they are trying.

They've been "close" to a deal or "framework" or whatever wordsmithing they want to use for so long now, it pretty much means nothing.

They’re playing in the desert at night. They can still wear shorts

Pat Perez: LIV Golf no longer allowing players to wear shorts

Player-turned-broadcaster Pat Perez revealed on the league's podcast, "Fairway to Heaven," that shorts were off-limits going forward.
"The players are wearing pants all year," Perez said. "I got it confirmed the other day that the players are wearing pants."
I am honestly shocked you didn’t get this correct

I stand by that there will be a "no shorts" rule in effect on LIV this season.
The players wearing them today were likely told after they arrived on site with their kits planned for the week already.
Official announcement has not yet been made yet, but it will be.

There's only a handful of LIV golfers that would be invited into the field. I think both tours will continue to exist and each will have to grant waivers for their players to be released to other tours events.
I would think the scope will be limited to certain tournaments. I don't see a scenario where lower-tier LIV players get spots in popular PGA tournaments. Maybe they'll get exemptions into the bad PGA events no one watches.

Maybe… LIV does have plenty of “alternates” they could use, but that would be a major disruption to their entire season.
Unless there’s is a major announcement to postpone all LIV events or something, it seems a little far fetched. Especially with the recently announced exemptions into Majors for LIV golfers

I don’t foresee any chance these guys are at the players this year, although that’s a great spot to reunify the game.
Would require LIV to basically close up shop effective immediately, which has way too many moving parts.
What do you do with some of the LIV players who wouldn’t even be invited to the players?

I mean there’s probably 6-8 guys who would obviously want to play in the Players over LIV. I’m sure they don’t “really” care about the season long competition on LIV.
Bryson
Rahm
Hatton
Koepka
Cam Smith
Niemann
DJ
Phil?
Sergio?
But still seems way too complicated if they try to continue on with the LIV events as scheduled too
