From the director that brought us The Raid and Gangs of London…guess this movie got tied up in production hell for a while but I still have high hopes. Been waiting for this movie for a while.

After Bike Riders I’m taking a little TH break.

I've only seen a few movies that Hardy has been in. The first was when he played both the Kray brothers---Reggie and Ronnie in "Legend".
Then I saw him in "The Drop" with James Gandolfini in his last film before he died, and then again in "Bronson".
The last one, "Bronson", was a little strange but I liked him in both the others although the dialogue in "Legend" required close listening to with the heavy British accent he used.
He was good in "The Drop" and considering all the main actors except Gandolfini were foreign, they did a good job faking the American accents.

I liked how it wrapped up in the last 20 minutes or so and the interaction with the cop investigating the bar robbery and old murder case. Their little exchange in the bar was pretty good.

I need this injected into my veins.

Legend was a dog shite movie. Couldn’t believe Hardy agreed to do that film

My main issue with "Legend" was simply trying to understand the dialogue when Hardy was playing the twins, especially his take on Ronnie Kray who was completely off his rocker in real life.

Closed Captioning is my best friend when watching anything British.

You've hit on my basic Hardy complaint (and, to be clear, I generally like him and his characters):
Venom was the first movie that he's done without some weird speech affectation.
Even Mad Max was mostly monosyllabic grunting.
That said, I love him as Alfie Solomons...and, frankly, in most things. It's just that they never let the man speak clearly.

That looks really bad.

Nothing about that trailer makes me want to see that movie

Best I have seen Hardy in was the series Taboo and still waiting for season 2. That was damn good but I think he lost his arse financially on it.

Ironically when Hardy is captioned he's still mostly unintelligible

Has anyone else watched this absolute turd yet? It would not surprise me if you told me that there were 10,000 bullets fired in this movie, because every time you saw a gun, it was firing full-auto for 10 seconds at a time. Oh, and recoil isn't a thing, either. Got a 112 pound lady limp-wristing an Uzi like it's nothing.
And don't even get me started on sound-design. Every single gunshot sounded like it was coming out of an entirely different sound system than the rest of the movie. They were never painted into the scene.
This was one of the most uninspired action movies I've ever watched.
