Actually like this move as long as the money is right. He played a good reserve role and special teams for us. We need to be getting younger and cheaper.

Ugo did well last year. Still young. Still pulling for him.

Then you clearly dont watch the Saints games.
Edit: adding his stats from last year. He had 62 tackles, 2 sacks, 7 pass breakups, and 6 tackles for loss.
And you didnt hear his name called out or see him ever?

To be fair, 4-5 years ago we had the deepest rosters in the league. Oftentimes 12-20 of the dudes we cut would end up on someone’s active 53 and usually starting.
The past 2-3 years, we have had a bunch of nobody’s. Just a bunch of empty stat compilers that can’t win meaningful football games.
I know who Ugo is, but I don’t blame others for not knowing.
That’s the state of this franchise. We lack talent and it’s hard for fans to care as Mickey is allowed to continue to run this franchise into the ground.

This is why.

Broncos hiring experienced scout away from Saints to high-ranking front office post, source says
Cody Rager spent seven years scouting players for a Sean Payton-coached team
quote:
Rager spent the better part of a decade working his way up through the Saints’ scouting department under assistant general manager Jeff Ireland and general manager Mickey Loomis. That, of course, means Rager spent seven years scouting players for a Sean Payton-coached team.
In Denver, Rager will report to general manager George Paton, who runs the Broncos’ personnel department. Paton and Payton have touted their working relationship since Payton was hired a year ago and Paton has said consistently that the Broncos coach makes it easy to understand what he looks for in players.
“Sean sits in all of our meetings. He sounds like a scout, and he’s been around a lot of really good people throughout his career,” Paton said last spring before the 2023 NFL Draft. “He reminds me of (Nick) Saban just sitting in meetings. The two years I was with Coach Saban, they have a similar vision of how they want to build the football team. They have a clear vision on how they want to build the team.
“I’m aligned with Sean on that.”

Which is why you go get Kellen Moore.. a coach from a good system who took note of all the nerds and young guys in the coaching room who always seemed to get it right with their hunches about players
This is life in the NFL. You have 20 years of success and you become one of the trees that other shitty teams try to steal fruit from
