Was at the local Cinemark last night, seemed like at least 7 to 8 theaters were Lilo and Stich, the rest were MI. I went to see the latest Final Destination Bloodlines, maybe a 5 out of 10, not very good.

We saw it at 9:00 this morning and the theater is packed. L&S is going to be a billionaire.

It's Lilo and Stitch of course this is going to make bank. The movie and series were a hit with millennials and Gen Z and now the millennials that have kids are going to take their kids to see it.

That being said there's a few certain changes in this that really didn't sit right with me still unsure how I feel about this movie

Crazy what a movie can do when it doesn't include "the message"

I knew Stitch would do well. It's got to be one of Disney's best selling characters. I see stitch stuff everywhere all the time.

It's a simple formula. Copy what worked before, and don't add modernity or try to insert crap that doesn't belong.

Should easily cross a billion. Unfortunately, Thunderbolts is underperforming

Thunderbolts* crosses the 350M mark at Global BoxOffice, but has legs terminated by competition and won’t reach 400M any longer, after grossing just 5.6M on 4th weekend overseas (vs #Captain America 4’s 9.2M), harsh -64.3% drop!
#TheNewAvengers hits a 181.7M intl. cume over 53 markets.
Allied to its 171.4M US cume, #FlorencePugh hits a 353.1M Global cume!

With a 180M production price tag, not even including marketing, #TheNewAvengers is now Eyeing a 380M-390M Global run.

I would probably have gone to see Thunderbolts in the theater, but they still haven't put Brave New World on Disney+. I'm definitely not paying to see that one in the theater and it seems clear I need to watch it before Thunderbolts.

Disney has put out some great Star Wars products and the future is looking incredibly bright. So good.

Jumba and Cobra Bubbles were horribly miscast. Some of the most memorable lines were left out.

Funny thing is if there was one character who stuck to their original version then you'd know there would be at least one idiot calling it woke

I don’t have a dog on this race, but can you say Disney is back after a singular movie has a great opening? Or even a couple of movies (I know the new Marvel one did well)?

Wouldn’t Disney be “back” when they can consistently put out good, entertaining products that consistently make money? Has that happened yet?

Disney never went anywhere sure they've been subpar with a number of their movies but financially they're going to be fine. This movie was always going to make a shite ton of money simply for the fact that Stich is just too damn popular to fail. Even before the movie was announced there were plenty of kids with Stich gear and toys. That fact that the movie is actually getting good reviews and good word of mouth certainly helps
