First lesson when learning to play guitar is proper tuning of the instrument .....there wasn't one string in standard tuning pitch......cat caught in the screen door.

That's not a $2k Strat'. Look at the neck. It's rosewood, not maple. That's a Tex-Mex version at best. More than likely, a knock off and not a real Fender.

SRV Strats don't have maple necks. They're Pau Ferro, which is similar to rosewood.
