I like Bifenthrin indoors or outdoors. Get generic at tractor supply and mix your own. If you don’t want to mess with mixing, Home Defense is the same stuff in pre-mixed form that you can get from Lowes.
If you are targeting roaches only, I would just find a couple of cans of Bengal roach spray.

Bengal Roach Spray.
Start at the farthest area and fog the place as you walk out. It pretty much kills everything.

Suspend SC, it works very well, last for several months and has almost no odor. It's also one of the few insecticides that get rid of spiders and is safe for most sensitive dogs and cats.

Demon wp or its generic form cyper wsp. Both are 40% cypermethrin. Both are wettable powders that leave behind a residue. Indoors will kill 3 months or more. Outside time is less due to rains, but that will be with any outside sprayings.
Note: Bengal roach spray is 2% permethrin.

I think 90% people use bifenthrin (taster p concentrate or ortho home defense retail) . Not necessarily because it is the best or safest, but because it is good, safe, and won’t stink up your house or leave a mess.

Bifenthrin 7.9% is pretty much the standard. Talstar was the original I think. Bifen is an off brand with the same amount of chemical in it. I personally use the Tractor Supply generic brand with 7.9%. It's all the same and works on like 75 different bugs.
I've also used Suspend, Demand, Demon etc. I try to switch it up inside my house every so often but outside I use the 7.9% bifenthrin. Make sure you read the percentages on anything you buy at Lowes or HD. It may contain Bifenthrin but the amount of the product may be less than 7.9%.
This is what I've been getting at tractor supply. Best bang for the buck. Mix 1 oz with 1 gallon of water in a pump sprayer and you are set.
