Any Parking Tips for Events at Smoothie King Center in NOLA?

Will be driving in from out of state for my first time at this venue and the general consensus online seems to be that the on-site garages are a total clusterfrick.

Can always risk it and park on S. Claiborne and Lafayette St.

I would pull into some hotel in Metairie and Uber.

I have an in-law in Metairie. I had considered maybe parking at their house and Ubering as an option.

It's been a while, but I usually pre-book via ParkWhiz in Lot 3A which is right next to the Smoothie King. It's lot parking (not covered). Quick in and out.

If it were me, I'd use this option. I'm old and lazy and have no family in the area, so I always just grit my teeth and use the parking garage right next to the arena.

I've always parked in the Dome garages but I haven't been to a concert in New Orleans since Elton John in 2018.

Park in the Superdome garage. It may be a cluster at times, but no more so than the other indoor garages, and is more secure than the outdoor parking blocks away.

If you park in any of the independent lots nearby just be careful. If you pay to park through 10:00 pm, they will have a boot on your car at 10:00 pm and one second. It's some mafia shite. Total scumbags.
Pay for longer than you think you'll need.

Just park in the garage it'll be fine. No reason to pay for an uber to and from Metairie

Use the ‘Best Parking’ app and just find the cheapest lot within a few blocks. Did that for Tyler Childers and worked great, parked at a garage on LaSalle, easy in, easy out.

Get a players card at Harrah's casino and you can park in their garage for free. It's about a mile away if you're capable of walking, or a short Uber from there which costs less than Superdome parking.

What is wrong with just driving yourself? Traffic was a little rough with the construction leading up the Super Bowl but I believe that was completed

Park in the garage that's connected to Dave and Busters if you dont mind an 8-10 minute walk.
