Can't post at the moment because at work but Queen just had surgery on his wrist and will be re-evaluated in 12 weeks.

Pretty common at this point. Will the curse die when she does?

Don’t forget Oschner’s role in the sheer volume of injuries.

First the sky was falling because we drafter a guy who wasn't going to be a contributor this season

Not the sky is falling because said guy had ligament surgery during the off season prior to his first season....

No, the sky is falling because we traded a fricking top 5 pick to move up and take an out of shape, project big who doesn't offer rim protection. Everyone with half a brain knew the rooks won't be very good this year, hence why the pick is so valuable.

For sure players get injured, fans just don't want to see players stay injured. I like Queen as a player and hope he recovers expeditiously. This will be a good little test to see if he returns better conditioned or just returns.

Would love to know what pick this is that people keep talking about.

The best part is the part where the pick ends up being #15 and y'all still use retarded revisionist comments like "well we could have had #15 and #24 we still fricked ourselves".

Predictable losers. No matter what happens y'all will find something to be upset about or prepared to be upset about. Such a miserable life.

frick I'm willing to bet that even if we are playing well we will see "its only a matter of time" posts.

This. So much this.

Following sports is a hobby. Hobbies should be fun. If the Pelicans make you miserable, stop being a Pelicans fan. I am going to follow my own advice and come to this forum less often. At least while there are no games to discuss. Not that any of you will miss me.

If something makes you unhappy, stop doing it.

You're so fricking delusional to believe this team is actually gonna be competitive in the Western conference with this roster and coaching staff.

We are still a long way from being a playoff team, so yes, fans are rightfully pissed that we traded our unprotected first round pick, for a questionable prospect/fit(to put it mildly).

I couldn't give a frick. I don't let sports control my emotions like a giant pussy.

I remember going to Saints games when we got our arse kicked and family/ friends would be miserable the rest of the day. frick that. One day I realized I don't want to live such a sad miserable life. Its entertainment... They aren't your wife, kids, etcc. If you aren't entertained and if its a bad situation for you than I'd just suggest you frick off for your own good.

Now is that a "delusional" take?

Its entertaining to discuss the potential and future of sports teams.

No one expected the Broncos/ Commanders to be good last year. No one expected Indiana/ Detroit to make the run they had. You don't know. Its more delusional to think you do.

For sure, that's the question. Just not the western conference but in it's own division. Houston, Dallas, and SanAntonio are stacked. Memphis likely will be competitive with the hope the Pelicans are too. Pels may be near bottom of their division but still competitive for a play in. I hope Pels can surprise, but I'd be perfectly happy with them if they are prepared and play hard. Pels have upgraded their talent from the end of the 25' season. Questions remain if they are going to continue the organizational 'goofiness' and become more professional.

If you take the last (4) season and then exclude the historic injury year last year then we finished 8th, 8th, and 9th. WITHOUT BI/ Z like 50% of the time or more and with way shittier depth.

Comments like this show more about your own ignorance than my opinions.

We have legit been the 8th seed without most of our players playing and without a bench but now that we have more of both somehow we aren't a playoff team? All while most of those other teams get older and have minimum draft picks? And you want to talk about me being delusional? We made the playoffs and lost in the playin twice. So far away from being a playoff team that we almost did it 3 seasons in a row with shite...

Teams like MEM, PHX, SAC arguably got worse while the only teams who really got any better were already ahead of us.

This isn't the NFL. The division standings are meaningless.
