Can someone please help me get excited about this season?
I don't know much about what went on in the offseason...
Is this year going to be another rinse and repeat?
ceiling of 6-8 seed and floor worst team in the league?

Willie is being given enough rope to hang himself. If he doesn’t let Brorenga run his offense , like he hasn’t done yet, he will lose games and his job.Joe has set him up to fire himself.

Willie isn't the biggest issue with the team. It's obviously health. And how far they go will largely depend on Zion, Trey, and Herb's ability to stay healthy.

This is bullshite. Willie is definitely a major issue with this team with the lack of adjustments, listening to people smarter than him, and managing a locker room that's checked out on him. Like someone mentioned he is def on a short rope and I'm actually hoping we loose enough early to get him fired but not enough to tank the season. Sick of his insecure arse.

Willie isn't a positive but the biggest obstacle to winning games has been health. The team has won with Green before so he isn't the biggest issue. They can win games with Green. They can't do it without their key guys being healthy. That's been proven.

Lol no the frick he isn't.

He's a first time head coach with a superstar he cant fricking build around. No coach would have success with that.

How the frick is he suppose to grow as a coach and learn how to use players when the frickin engine driving this thing is always out of shape or hurt.

There's a reason why Willie preferred ingram over Zion. He fricking sees what Z is.

I think people think any coach that comes here will sudden win games as we are even if the keys guys can't stay on the court. That's not happening.

I want Green gone as much as anyone but I can't sit there and seriously think Green is the biggest issue with the team right now. I'm not saying he isn't an issue, just not at the top of the list right now.

I'm actually fine with the decisions not to replace Green in the summer. The Pelicans aren't an attractive position for any good coach right now and they'd have to settle if they had to hire a new coach this past offseason.

They need to figure out if Williamson is going to be the guy and prove it this year or decide to rebuild/reload/retool. If he proves it, then great... The position becomes more attractive for the coaching pool. If shite hits the fan again, they'll probably need to find a good developmental guy to guide Fears and Queen into the next era.

Either way, the season starts and ends with health.

This post is absolutely insane

Ingram missed an average of 36.5 games a season his last four seasons here. Much lower ceiling than Zion. Consistently underachieved with talent around him. Give me Zion over BI everyday

Are we just forgetting about WG lack of adjustments, telling James Borrego to stop having Z and BI workout after practice, having offensive confident players on a short leash for "junkyard" defensive or bench players, lack of timeout managements, having his players back publicly and on the court during ref disputes, only implying to play with "force and pace" as a game strategy? Like I can go on and on.

Willie Green is a terrible coach who had one solid season due to talent masking his capabilities. BI literally said it himself in his exit interview. Want me to pull up the clip?

Here are Zion’s stats

482: games elapsed since Zion joined the team

214: games Zion has played in

109: games in which Zion played that the Pelicans won

105: games in which Zion played that the Pelicans lost

Gayle is the biggest problem, sell the team.

Ceiling of playoffs is laughable. 35 wins is best case scenario and that’s a stretch. There isn’t one redeeming (Willie, Dumars, Gayle, Oschner) quality about the Pels.

Fact that he hasn’t been fired yet makes it blatantly obvious that this is a unserious poverty franchise that does not care about winning
