Thankfully, tomorrow (September 13th) is a college football Saturday

I think the country will benefit, albeit for only one day, from the welcome distraction that only a fall Saturday can provide.
If your favorite team loses, please don't take out your frustration on your dog or any other living creature. Inanimate objects, only, please.
BOOMER!!!

According to astronomers.
Meteorologists consider September 1st to be the beginning of fall.

The meteorological start of fall is Sept. 1, which is also Labor Day 2025, and it will be on a Monday this year, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac.

Nope! Kids are in school, it's fall.

Hopefully security is up at all the campuses with games. Last thing we need is more incidents at very large gatherings.

Yeah agreed. Stephen A had a good rant about it yesterday that he’s thanking God for football’s return in time’s like this:

School has nothing to do with equinoxes

I watch watch football every weekend, but you don't start getting that true football feeling until late September, early Oct. Although I remember years when going to a game at the end of September and it was really cool.. Close to cold during the game and then in early November it was hot as shite.
What's the coldest game anyone remembers being at? There have been a couple of LSU games where it was so cold that you would go buy hot chocolate and by the time you get back to your seat it was not warm anymore.

Who’s still passionate about college football other than gambling?

97 Independence Bowl vs Notre Dame. It was icy. My wife still mentions how cold she was.

Charlie was an avid Ducks fan. I hope they do something to honor him

I still enjoy college football and don’t bet on it. It’s not a worthless sport like basketball, which sucks at all levels.

If I recall, that same season we played ND at home and it was cold as shite.

I'm not judging because I was like this for too much of my life but this kind of thinking is pathetic.
An innocent father of two young children was just publicly murdered in cold blood for being brave enough to stand up for the values this country, and frankly civilized society, was founded upon and we have people ready to move on so they watch some teenagers (most of whom probably align with the shooter to some degree) run around with a football. We, as a nation, deserve this and have only ourselves to blame.
