Maurepas WMA - 3 Hondurans arrested for illegal target practice

From what I understand, this was also during the youth hunting weekend.

Agents cited Yeferson Misael Mejia Rosales, 22, Josue Alexander Fernandez Cordova, 21, Julio Amaya Fernandez, 27, all from Honduras, for using a WMA without a WMA access permit and without a self-clearing permit. Agents also cited Rosales and Cordova for illegal target shooting on a WMA.
Agents were on patrol on the Maurepas Swamp WMA when they heard several gunshots coming from a main trail on the WMA. Agents made contact with the subjects and found Rosales in possession of a pistol and Cordova in possession of a rifle.
During questioning, Rosales and Cordova admitted to target shooting on the WMA in a non-designated target shooting area. The subjects also did not possess the required WMA access permit or WMA self-clearing permit.

Can you imagine having to go home to a thatched hut and telling your family you threw away the American dream of being a sheet rocker working cash jobs making 100k a year tax free?? All because you were practicing so you could smoke a spike durning hunting season next week.

I couldn’t get a Missouri lic without a hard copy of my hunter safety card issued in Louisiana in 1988 or so, the state had my number on record but it was part of the old database and MO requires hard copy certificate.
I ended up retaking my hunter safety just because it was faster than the 3-4hrs I spent trying to convince someone that they should just issue me a new certificate.
I’m sure an illegal being proficient in all things illegal could have helped me get a fake DL fake SS# fake hunter safety and hunting lic with all the associated tags in less time than I spent trying to get a copy of my legit card!!
