It's that conference championship games are not obsolete.

Fun day of football.

The way I see it if you have 1 loss you earned the right to not have the conference championship make or break your playoff spot. If you have 2 losses though, you no longer have that privilege and it’s do or die.

Or...perhaps....don't get absolutely destroyed by your previous best win? Bama could've lost and been fine but they got killed which is what might make the difference. If they get left out its not because they played, its because they got absolutely destroyed to the tune of -3 rushing yards.

I wouldn’t even have minded saying Bama deserved in if they had lost respectably. I literally posted at the start of the day that a “normal” 14-pt or fewer loss and they’d be in.

But they were completely embarrassed. NEGATIVE rushing yards?? Are you kidding me?

They have to be out. frick “protecting” conference championship games.

Just quit being a fan of the sport if you didn’t enjoy the games.
