We simply just don't have enough shooting.

Out of our four best players, only one is a good 3 point shooter.

Plus, we just don't have those no-name white dudes every other roster has.

This was a Griffin problem and is now a Dumars problem.

Hawkins was supposed to be our shooter but he sucks.

Get some wannabe Luke Kennard, Isiah Joe or whatever fricking nobody Boston trots out.

Also Bey is 2 of 22 in his last 5 games. Oof.

We also were playing shite defense and leaving players that can literally only shoot 3s wide open. Run them off the line and make them actually play basketball.

Its crazy to think we only have 1 legitimate 3 point shooter

The Pels win the game playing mediocre defense.

Suns made 20 3 pointer. That’s pretty hard to win against. League average is around 12 per game.

We didn’t defend it great but they didn’t miss them. We missed a lot of ours. 3 point shooting and defending is definitely a big problem.

Also, we got abused on the offense glass a lot tonight too. The face we kept this game in reach is amazing

I wonder how many wide open 3s the Suns shot and made. It felt like all of Gillespies and Goodwins looked wide open.

So true. I said this at the beginning of the season.

Queen, Zion, and Bey were cooking the Suns one-on-one.

If they just could have defended the three point line and didn’t give them absolutely wide open shots then they would have easily won. It was like they didn’t pay attention at all to the scouting report. All the Suns wanted to do was hang out by the 3 pt line. When they forced them off the line they were getting stops.

The Pelicans were actually playing fun offensive basketball. The Suns were just playing dirty on defense and launching 3s constantly. I didn’t feel the Suns were making a bunch of contested shots.

I get Borrego wanting us to kick the ball out more to open shooters. Queen and Zion were collapsing everything. The offense was plenty with just decent defense guarding the 3 pt line.

Is this a good thing? Does this mean that if you make a basket in the paint you are less likely to get a foul called? Don’t you think it is better to have a more diverse skill set in the NBA? I think that makes things more interesting.

Part of the problem is that we don’t even take them. We’ve been near the bottom of the league the last 4 years in 3PA.

like Fears needs to let it fly from 3. He’s very promising but you aren’t getting anywhere in this league as a small guard only taking 3 3PAs per game. He needs to be taking 7-8. All the best small guards take high volumes of 3s
