that Cam Coleman is all but locked up with them as well.
Just thought I'd share.
Hope we start getting some good news this week.

It doesnt make sense for us to blow $3M+ on 1 WR with our needs there

Texas and TTU will get into a bidding war there, let them

After that offensive performance the new money isn't scared

WR is an area where hopefully Kiffin can make up ground. He can probably find a few gems out there and hopefully save money, and then spend more on rebuilding the OL.
This year, given how many positions we need to fill with the portal, it's not our year to go out and spend big portions of our budget on one WR... even though he'd be nice to have.
We can get to that point, but we have to be in a completely different place where we're retaining guys and mostly using the portal for major impact players.

You say that until our 500K WRs drop the winning TD pass

So everyone is wasting millions to terrible players who continue to make mistakes
College football fricking sucks now

We need to look for the diamonds in the rough not overpay for overhyped players

Take a look at any professional sport: NFL, MLB, NBA.

Playing at Taco Tech seems like a mid tier ho hum environment
Great facilities
Small stadium
Opponents are a bunch of mid tier at best teams
Exposed in playoffs

Yep, playing tough competition is what makes you great. Iron forges iron. The Prairie Pirates might luck up and win a playoff game, but they're not going to be ready for the Bigger Boys because of the crap conference they play in.

Texas Tech is new money and going for splash. It will be interesting seeing the creative accounting they'll have to do to pay all these players within the rules.
I'd love to know what legitimate NIL opportunities they're offering that will pass the clearinghouse as reasonable.

You just compared college football to professional sports. That’s all I needed to hear to know that the sport is dead

Confirms that the so-called “clearing house” is a joke. I want the whole thing to blow at this point. I want TT to field a billion dollar roster.

The clearinghouse will be so tied up in litigation they won’t be able to take a shite without a judges permission.

2 of the alumni who formed a dot com company sold it , got in the neighborhood of 4 billon , and they are the ones willing to pay millions for probably even a punter . We may as well get over it. Until rules are put in place look for TTU to be a player in anybody they want . A serious player .
