Per sources, he apparently didn't like the $100,000 offer he received and wants to test the waters.
Also hearing the team manager/waterboy and his agent are nearing a new deal to remain with LSU. Situation is fluid, but I don't expect another portal entry here.

a 100K for a freaking snapper
$100,000 ÷ 115 snaps (for season)
= $869.56 per snap
It's an important position to be sure
but this whole thing is making me sick ...
these kids have no clue how hard or how good you need to be at something in society to make a 100k in the real world...
They get a free scholarship (worth about 35k per year), plus training and every other perk, then add 100k salary on top of it
just insane
meanwhile middle class Americans are struggling to send thier kids to college to avoid a bunch of debt.

Whether it is real or not, EVERY player on the team including the long snapper will be making over $100,000 from revenue sharing. So that is their base salary from where negotiations start.
The problem with having a large bag of NIL to hand out and making it widely public is everybody wants a piece of the pie.
