No. Paying $5 million for a guy who wasn’t close to a Heisman candidate is asinine and just shows how quickly this is spiraling. It’s not sustainable for the sport as a whole and sooner rather than later the fans will turn away.

People aren’t tuning in to watch Texas Tech become a powerhouse.

This isn’t even close to the peak levels of retardation we will see with college football.

College programs advertising in Times Square is nothing new. It's all about brand awareness.

If fans realize a handful of billionaires are controlling the sport and those programs are the ones elevated, the sport suffers. There’s a difference between parity and a few dudes buying titles and blocking everyone else out.

This is neither the first nor last college football billboard in Times Square. Joey Harrington says hello.

If I had a dollar for every time this was posted on tiger droppings I’d have enough to sway Chambliss over to LSU.

I think it’s not sustainable because you’re going to have guys like sorsby making more than NFL draft picks. The NFL probably doesn’t love this either.

It’s the largest media market in the US, maybe the world.

Just because you don’t have money to burn doesn’t mean Cody Campbell doesn’t.

Spending all that money to still be the 3rd/4th best team in Texas.
