26 out 4 in so far. Need a big week

Currently LSU sits at 26 players that left for the portal with only 4 in. The good thing is lsu has a ton of money to spend. The bad thing is our offensive staff is still coaching at ole Miss which means we aren’t getting their full commitment to recruiting the portal. Hoping this staff can have a big week and soften the blow of all the losses.

There’s only 2 coaches coaching at Ole Miss and CWJ was in the meetings with Leavitt. It’s not as big as a deal as you think.

You realize that the best players are going to mostly get scooped up quickly right? Sure players can be signed later but most of the top ones will be gone

We may get 2 wr, 2 oline just from ole miss. We need to relax some and realize he's good at piecing guys into his offense, and then utilizing what he has.
The te add is a sneaky good 2nd option to tre Dez that will get 0 pub.
Once the oline adds start, and qb1 is sorted, will ease lot of the nerves. Weird to replace an entire offense, but at least the defense returns alot of great pieces.

I know this is VERY VERY VERY difficult for some of you to understand, but the portal isnt like signing day. We don't have to bring in 20 in a day.
There are over 3,000 kids in the portal. Of those 3,000 probably 75% of them would drag their nuts through glass to play for LSU. We aren't going to get every massive target out there. Let Kiffin sort through who is out there and they will find the best 20-30 who want to be at LSU.

Yeah O line is my biggest concern. Losing so many to the portal definitely hurts. People can say they sucked but a good o line is built by experience and development.
Winning starts in the trenches so those need to be replenished.

And do you realize that not every top player will end up at LSU right? And you do realize we aren't absolutely doomed with every player we don't get right?

I know some of you just refuse to be willing to admit if something is concerning but anybody with a functioning brain can see that they need to have a big portal class.

Seems a lot of people are lol. The responses in here have acted like saying this is some type of meltdown when it’s just a fairly accurate assessment of the state of things. I promise you it’s okay to honestly look at the situation and say it’s concerning.

The portal just opened up, and LSU had a coaching change. Is it really beyond your understanding that we have more who have entered the portal that signed at this point?

No. They are simply telling you all that it is not concerning that we haven't filled our class yet.
Coaches have to evaluate players. Line up visits. That takes time. Especially when their main focus right now is on the big targets, like QB.

Seventh day: a Missouri RB named Lacy who had rushed for only 104 yards (total of 7 players).
Eighth day: just two more players (total of 9 players).
Ninth day: just one player (total of 10 players).
Tenth day: a UAB player and a Marshall player (total of 12 players).
Just TWELEVE players in the first TEN days!
The portal closes on January 16, but that's just the last day for a player to ENTER the portal. It is not the last day to sign with a new team.
Relax. Be patient. This shite takes time.
