Sorry…but the NC schedule was arse until Texas Tech and SMU. That schedule doesn’t help in preparing teams to play in a deep SEC. Throw out those metrics and Q2 wins and all that shite. Posters were hyping up an OT win over Boston College. Same year, same shite. Anybody can rattle off 11 wins with that NC schedule.

Time to start over (again).

Anyone without severe denial knew this was going to happen.

I mean I felt good after the early season turney they won, felt a satisfaction watching the SMU game I hadn't felt in a while as an LSU Bball fan. The roster is capable. McMahon just can't escape disappointment, one step forward and two back. We need to move on.

When you are playing Alcorn State and the like, you better demolish them. Just winning with that weak slate does nothing for the growth of the program.

Losing to prairie view at halftime (and giving up 56 points in said half) was a pretty obvious red flag that this team sucks

Anyone who truly got their hopes up is a fool. It was cautious optimism at best

And I’ll admit to not watching much outside of a couple of those non conference games. Some of the problems stare at you in the stat sheet. I’m not saying we need to schedule Duke and Houston, but 4 games against the Southland and SWAC are basically irrelevant. Tarleton will be garbage, FIU is a bottom feeder, Southern Miss?

There were people defending this?

DePaul has been irrelevant for decades. BC has been bottom tier in the ACC for years.

That leaves…

Drake (new coach and roster from last couple of years)
Texas Tech
SMU
Omaha (defending Summit League champ)

4/13 games were against decent competition. You wanna schedule a SWAC game? Fine…1. Ditto for Southland. You can’t build a program with those games.

No one with a brain is surprised.

That’s why the PMAC was empty.

Only retards were defending it.

I seriously think there were more people at the last volleyball game I went to.

I definitely did not think Dedan would twist his ankle just in time to start conference play. Why would anyone think that?

Classy move dunking on fans of the same team after a loss under that circumstance

Sports are games of attrition through the season. In CFB, you need a stable of contributors. In baseball, you better have enough pitchers when one inevitably gets hurt. In the NBA, championship teams deal with injuries over the course of 82 games. If losing one player means you are going to drop your first two SEC games against programs that missed the tourney last year…then you have a problem. Losing to aTm, fine. You have more time to adjust before playing the Gamecocks and evening up your record. LSU blew it.

See above. You better have more than 1 decent player if you want to get to the postseason.

Midseason attrition hurts basketball more than any other team sport, unless maybe we are talking about losing an ace or QB — because a single player makes more difference in basketball than any other team sport.

LSU lost two key guys including PG right before conference play is a bummer. There’s no saving McMahon, but weird hill to flex on.

Yes, but that doesn’t mean you get to excuse an injury. At the end of the day, blaming an injury for your losses is weak.

I’m not flexing at all. You’re right, he’s gone barring a quick turnaround. The team was lifeless tonight. Under McMahon, there has been uninspiring basketball and little fight in MANY games. That problem is much deeper than injuries.
