It was so refreshing to watch Montana St and Illinois St play Monday night. There were zero egos, dudes busting their arse and playing football the way it should be played. Don't get me wrong I love LSU, but I hate the way CFB has evolved over the last few years. Seems like there's zero drama in D2 and dudes still playing the game the way it's supposed to be played.

At least is good is D3. Look up Caleb Blaha (QB) highlights. Burrow results. Statistically better.
In no scholly, NIL, minimal transfer portal model. Kids playing with loyalty and hearts and their future careers (that is unlikely football centered).

D3 and D2 are dealing with trickle down effects. Kid at local D3 should be happy starting as a freshman enters portal to see what upward options he has. Current school finds his replacement and the freshman is basically hoping someone picks him up.
Having sons play high level of baseball and football in high school here in Texas… recruiting is not about ability as much as connecting the right people. If you don’t make that connection with the coach needing you at the specific time of need… you will get missed.

They are FCS, formerly I-AA. Not Division II
Ferris St (Chambliss' old school) is Division II and beat Harding for the D2 national title a few weeks ago

D2 in particular is actually starting to adopt the portal nightmare quicker than FCS for some reason. It’s trickling down to all levels of competition

Same thing as whatever. We all know what D2 means and not all these other alpha letters.
