Ohio State may have wasted visit with Chaz Coleman

They apparently tried getting a hometown discount from him.

Entire article is based on him not having committed during the visit.

Doesn’t seem like they are out, but there’s still hope for LSU

In Pete Nakos update, he said South Carolina may get a visit. But interesting enough is that at the end of the update he mentioned LSU is “a top contender for his commitment” didn’t even mention Tennessee

The Ohio State football team may have lost out on Chaz Coleman

Usually, players from the Transfer Portal commit either on their visit or directly after. Coleman has not given any indication of what he is going to do, so that means that the Buckeyes may have squandered their chances of signing him to the roster for next season.

It's pretty clear that Coleman is shopping around and seeing who is willing to give him the most NIL money. As a freshman, Coleman wasn't very productive, only getting one sack. He has all of the traits of an elite player, but he doesn't have the production to match.

Perhaps that's why the Buckeyes are a little scared of giving him a ton of money to play for them. Still, the defensive line is a position of need. Even with the addition of John Walker, the Buckeyes need some guys on the edge to replace the production that they will lose heading into 2026.

Ohio State is certainly not out of it for Coleman, but they seem to have lost their advantage. If they are able to land a commitment from him, expect an announcement sometime in the next 24 hours

Yeah I don’t love his production.

Sounds like he might be ours if we don’t let him get that South Carolina visit

The Rant rarely factors in that players just might improve over time.

Coleman played 150 total snaps as a Penn State freshman, reaching 20 snaps in only one Big Ten game. He did have 3 pressures against Ohio state.

To get the production the Rant wants you’re looking at 2.5 plus.

Ross and Taysom Hills Nephew are both on campus today. If they both commit I wonder if there is a spot for Chaz Coleman.

Or the fact that they might have been playing behind 2 NFL guys. Applies to Chaz and Stef Green from Clemson.. who actually balled out vs LSU when Woods went down
